Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. When she was a kid, she went to her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma's dream was to become an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes on singing, acting, and dance. As part of a school production and an Stagecoach show, she took as the lead role at age 10 and performed. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 film adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was published in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through 8 consecutive auditions. Emma's first screen appearance came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in 2001.
